I made this discovery not too long ago and decided to share it now. I'm not sure if anyone else has already shared this though. Anyways enjoy! Below is the PoC.

Go to this path:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions
If you can't find the AppData folder, go to the link below to find out how.
http://cur.lv/a5u51
You should see some folders with a bunch of random numbers and letters. Each folder contains the source files for a specific extension. The numbers and letters are from the URL of the extension, which comes from the Google Chrome Web Store.
To find which folder is for what extension, you right click on the folder, rename, copy highlighted text, paste it into Google and it will tell you the extension's name.
When you open the folder, there will be another folder, which is labeled as the extension's current installed version followed by an "_0". I haven't figured out what the _0 means yet, so just ignore it... for now.
Open this folder and you will have access to the source files! You can do whatever the hell you want with them! Leak the JavaScripts / HTML in a Pastebin, edit the files, keep to yourself, etc.
