Codes - What is the difference between host and non-host codes?

(It is not my means to spam but i need to know this answer)
I have posted this before but the answer i got back was not what i wanted. To be clear what i wanted to know was whether the non-host or host codes would affect other players in the game other than you. So for example if i got a god mode code and it was NON-HOST, does that mean every one on the game that is not the host gets the god mode and cannot be killed, and same goes for the host only.

non-host codes you can use without being the host, the host is the person who's the lobby's connection runs from, non-host codes are codes you can use without having to be the host

But do other players in the game get affected by the code.

most host codes effect all players. non-host its just you

There are some games though where non host codes can affect all players such as the "All Players Size Modifier" (godmode) hack for Goldeneye which affects all players.

For Call of Duty games, you're right, almost every single non host code affects only the person who is using it.

The host is the person whose Wii is "hosting" the game. This means that all important information will travel through his/her Wii at some point. This means that you can edit almost anything when you are the host. Including the ability to affect other players.
