Jafile Is Down Forever!

I tried to get several of Bully's codes, but I kept getting a message saying "404 SUCKS TO BE YOU.".

I got all of Welohabi's RAM dumps that I can post in the dump section and I also got some other RAM dumps as well, but that's about it.

Goodbye Jafile!

Wonder Why They SHut It Down

I'm pretty sure that the guy who owns the site has his own server and his own database where he holds everyone's file(s) not like Mediafire where they have a huge database inside a huge building with lots of bandwidth and whatnot.

His RAM probably crashed or something. He sent out a message to all of the people who are registered to Jafile saying that he has to shutdown the server soon or something like that. I don't know.

They shut it down because their hoster thinks they violate the terms of trade and they didn´t want to argue. The files stayed online for a month or so but now they are completely gone.

My new plan is mediafire, but only for programs and such.

All file hosters are shitty and don´t quite offer what I want them to:
- Instant downloads, no ads, no limit (jafile?)
- 100% secure files, never automatic deletion (mediafire?)
- Great file management system (mediafire?)
- Non-public file list (mediafire?)
- No premium shit or random down times (...)

If you want a file hosting service similar to Jafile you are almost better off buying a premium membership at another hosting service or renting your own server.

It is similar but not equivalent.

Max file size = 200 MB

Can't upload from the web for free.

Only 50 GB storage with a free account.

Can't have contacts to share files with.

No built in media player.

No mobile apps (as far as I know).

No online store to buy games and music with your credits.

No link checker to check for dead links.

Only uploads one file after another instead of all at once.


The list could go on and on.


Rapidshare basically has all of the good stuff that Mediafire doesn't.
