Creating codes without a USB Gecko, using Dolphin, I hear?

I read here somewhere here a few days ago that it's possible to make codes using Dolphin.

My question is how is this possible? Can anyone suggest a tutorial or give some kind of direction to find some information regarding this.

I've searched Google and couldn't find anything except Dolphin itself which I've downloaded and installed.

You could possibly do it with a debugger such as Cheat Engine.

It's a very difficult program to use, but you'll just have to learn like everyone else. I've only learned the very basics of the program.

It's very similar to the way that the USB Gecko works.

Cheat Engine isn't needed. Dolphin has a built in "cheat search". It's pretty limited though.

Cheat Engine works well to view memory and poke live memory.

yes its possible to make codes with dolphin. thats what macopride64 does

you do need a good graphics card though (somthing i dont have)

I've tried BO and it crashed for me too (even though I have a decent graphics card). Try another game. Dolphin doesn't fully support it yet.

Virtual console and Gamecube games always run full speed for me. Test them out.

Weird, BO works for me while most other games crash. Dolphin is shitty, I have a real Wii and a USB Gecko to use instead.

Interesting... Black Ops freezes every time I select zombies. Dolphin freezes every time I quit Black Ops.

It also froze for me on Zombies, but campaign worked.

Actually, zombies sometimes worked but often crashed. It´s a bad idea to play it on dolphin though. There´s the PC version of BO which is way better overall. I did and well, never going to emulate the Wii version of it again. I got lucky with purchasing, just 15€ new. Better graphics, more zombie maps, no lag, crash, or messed up controls you would have with Dolphin.

You can also hack the PC version with Cheat Engine, but not Wii compatible codes, obviously. I´ve made a video about it on my channel.

It seems like this topic is solved. I´ll wait for 1 or 2 more replies before closing though.

Unfortunately my pc's specs kind of suck (P4 Desktop & a Dual Core 1.6 Laptop with built in graphics) so I guess I'm stuck with BO on the Wii for now, but it's all good :-)
