Switched to Linux

I have a really old operating system, i think a 2005 model with 512 MB of RAM, and lately Windows XP has been running some wear and tear on my PC (it would make really loud humming or grinding noises) and when i unplugged it and restarted it, it wouldnt boot. So i finally switched to linux, and i have a windows laptop for using my gecko and video making and such.

its actually really fast (faster than windows XP) i have lbuntu installed

Are you running Linux? I really enjoy the freedom of the terminal and also how you can install things from the repos in the terminal, kind of like cydia

Good idea, I have an old vista laptop which sucks.
Ubuntu is free.

if its old get Lubuntu or if its really old like 2001 old get Damn Small Linux

it isint really slow or nothing and works perfect for wii hacking and a few browser based games

Im thinking of getting a Linux or a mac in 2 months or so, but i don't know which one to get >.<

bully you should get linux and help me set up my USB Gecko on it. Ian made a tutorial but its confusing as fuck.
