I'm not sure what you mean by the message thing.

You could put an Icon on top thats says "Noob ?'s" that links them to your virus program. I'd be on my 50+/- HDD by now.

It would be cool if we could have a little forum on this site where it's like a store and you make a post saying what you want and you confirm your purchase with a PM to one of the Admin or something like that, then they take off an X amount of activity points from your account depending on what you purchased. Maybe you can use your activity points to buy some cool stuff like a name change, extra reputation or maybe even a different user title or signatures/avatars you can't get anywhere else. I just don't see what other use we use the activity points for other than collecting them for being active on the forums.

It´s not possible to substract points or reputation.

There´s no use for reputation or activity points also.

Bully you should make the main forums visible to guests, you will get way more website traffic that way. Just make them sign up if they want to post.

This way, I will probably get less members since around 90% only like to leech and not post anything. There will be less people to start posting.

It will however get a little bit more traffic since a few people don´t like to make an account or feel too lazy to login on mobile devices or so. They can still get what they were looking for. Also, more content would show up on google if people search for something that´s posted here.

I tend to take that suggestion, though.

Maybe give access to all but codes and program's without an account.

You should change the sign up options that administrators have to activate the account.

Yes and there are very few spam trolls

What you said is exactly why it will give more traffic. You don't want to force people to sign up either way, most will sign up on there own once they see what is here.

No, all they want is the codes and programs. I'm betting at least 80% of them are 18 or under, with short attention spans.


Except for a few of us, most of the users here come to leech or ask a few questions. That will happen either way with a closed or open forum. The problem is running away people before they sign up by not allowing them to see what we have to offer. Even if they leak Bully's codes they still had to deal with his adfly to do it.

I kept a look at the new members counter and it slowed down A LOT.
The last few houres only 1 guy registered, usually it´s like 4.

Yeah but you need a way to compare that with the increase of traffic you will get from google searches.

Then decide which is worse.

Yes, being with google is better than a few more members.

I do think that their content indexing doesn´t happen that quickly, may require 1 day to have it available within searches...

Before I joined here I was running a small clan forum for MW3, which is shutdown now. Although it only took about 3-6 days for the Google bots to add all the sites content to the search engines. For more results it might even be better to branch of a few more forum sections like "Xbox 360" or "PC gaming", etc. As long as they aren't dead and empty sections.

It´s no good idea to create many sections which don´t get used anyways.

You are right no one likes empty sections. Unless people fill them with content.

Regarding the Bans:
Maybe it should be set up so if someone possibly deserves to be banned that it has to be decided by two Mods/administrators/owner and not put in the hands of one person whom possibly might be biased toward an individual.

How this could possibly work:
Maybe set a 24 to 48 hour temporary ban until it can be reviewed by another member of staff and decision made final then.

Just a suggestion.

Can´t be done, we´ll just have to agree on not banning out of bias.

1 or 2 day bans are fine for mild offenses
