Pokemon battle revolution code, help?

So I was looking for Pokemon battle revolution codes to get more pokemon because i don't have and 4th gen games, I only have Gen 3 and Gen 5.

This is what i'm looking for, right? First of all, where it says XXXX, I don't see any X's in the code. So what do I do?
Also for the YYYY part, do I like put 0001 for controller 1? What is this?

Remember to put E0000000 80008000 on bottom of the code ALWAYS especially if you're using a button activator which in this case you're. Put the "National Pokedex ID" where the YYYYs are. You have to convert Decimal which is for example, 999, 100, 123, 6, 87 or any number that you would usually use in everyday life - Hexadecimal which is for example, 3E7, 270F, or anything like that, I'll show more examples later on if you want. okay, so that line in the code with the Y's.

Let's assume that I want mudkip.. The national ID is 258,
so would that line be

3D800258 A18C0258??

Do I convert that line to hex?
Or just the 0258, and then put the converted number in the code?

Paste this into the YYYYs, but I would try putting it into the right side of the YYYYs and leaving the left side with 0000. Here's what you copy and paste into the right side: 102 This is 258 in Hexadecimal.

The YYYYYYYY is the controller address from the button activator, NOT the Pokémon ID:

I knew you made a mistake with the code, but I wasn't quite sure if you did or not. So I just tried to help him until you got on because you know all about this stuff and you were the one who made the code. My parents always say "If you don't know what the problem is you might as well at least try to find out a way to fix." And so I did, but turns out each thing I tried to help him with was wrong apart from the converting. Oh well, as long as the problem is solved that's all that matters. Thanks for helping us out.

Also, I entered the code that Bully posted and it doesn't put mudkip in storage... I don't have any in storage so, can someone be specific on how this code works?

You're not supposed to use that for making button activators unless you're a coder.

Use this and press the buttons that you want to use to activate the code.

You take the last four characters on the right side and paste them into the button activator on the far right side of it, but you don't need to do that for this code because Bully already did it for you. You press the minus button to activate the code like he said.
