What makes one a hacker?

No, this is not what I meant. All code "users" think they are hackers. That makes me angry, because we make the codes, and sometimes it is not as easy as you think...

Yeah but Xylon.... We are not hackers, we are coders. Although, I honestly consider myself a hacker because of my computer experience, programming knowledge, and all the other things I have come to learn. Most people don't even realize the real meaning of "Hacker".

Yes, that's why I wondered. I think we're hackers, because we hack the wii games to get the game data and modifier them. A littlebit pride to yourself would be good^^
What did you think makes someone to an hacker? a legal hacker.^^

I just heard a story about some footballs players who raped and degraded a female classmate in Ohio. They were twittering the event and a lady screen captured the footage and they tried to prosecute them but do to their status as football players they have been unable to proceed. The blackhat community and anonymous hacked these football players computers as well as the town finacial records exposing them to the public. The town is now in hot water because they are fronting illegal gambling along with the private activities of the these football players. cheers
