goldeneye error code 20101

Hi guys,

need a bit of help. I haven't played goldeneye for a while but recently I tried to play multiplayer I was unable to connect, the error code I was getting was 20101.

The nintendo website says this was due to  server being down or busy wifi. I've also spoken to their support staff and  the said it could be because they were doing maintenance on the server and would be finished in a couple of days. I thought fair enough. I waited for a couple of days to be sure, but when I went to connect I was still getting the same error code.

I've tried to eliminate the possible faults, tried 2 different modems and wifi hot spot on my phone. tried changing the wii wifi settings (the MTU value), I've also tried playing COD BO online and it works fine, and I have friends and family who are able to still connect. I've tried re installing goldeneye on my usb loader.

Done a bit of scouring through internet and discovered that I could have been banned from the server.

Is this possible? and is there a way around it?

Use a MAC Changer code and you should be able to connect again. Make sure the XX values are not the last 2 digits of your MAC Address. This should fix your issue.

Not a ban, it would be for all games.

hi guys, thank you for assistance. i have tried the codes individually and combination of yet still no luck.

Am i missing something? is there any more info you might need to help solve this issue.

Try a different IOS in USB Loader because that may cause the error...

no luck yet, tried ios 250, 249, 222. 250 and 222 the game loads but still get the error code. 249 the game doesn't start.

I've tried updating my usb loader from 2.2 to 3.0. with no success.

Update all cioses too.
