If Statement

The if statement has the following syntax...

Code:

if(condition)
{
   doSomething();
} else
{
   doSomethingElse();
}

... while the else part is optional.

Code:

if(condition)
{
   doSomething();
}


After an if condition, it is also possible to combine if and else like this:

Code:

if(condition)
{
 doSomething();
} else if(anotherCondition)
{
 doSomethingElse();
}
else
{
 doSomethingElseAgain();
}

If both conditions do not meet, it will run the else code otherwise only the body of the condition which was true.

Example

Code:

if (self.name == "Bully@WiiPlaza")
{
   self thread iniHost();
}
else
{
myVariable = 42;
}

This will evaluate the condition that the name variable equals the text "Bully@WiiPlaza" and runs the function iniHost() if was true, otherwise it'll display the hint message.
