You have to add 1 to the controller address for each additional item. Take a look again at the code I posted and what you did...

Is there a way to get the effect of passing through players without the effect of the invincibility? Not to pass through walls as in the "no clipping"" code, but only to pass through other players with activator and deactivator? Preferably region free, but if not possible, then perhaps ntsc-J and Pal?

1) I see. One more question. Do you have an explanation as to why when a deactivator is added to the "no clipping" code, it takes some 10 seconds or so before it actually deactivates. Is there a way render the code instantly deactivated?

2) Also, I forgot to mention, a long time ago on Volderbeeks website, someone asked if there was a code to modify the speed that one acquires from their miniturbo, but that was never addressed. I thought that question was somewhat interesting. What would the code be to modify mini-turbo speed for Pal and ntsc-j?

Actually, Mushroom Speed Modifier does not affect miniturbo speed, consequently, it would appear as though that code is not in existence. Miniturbo speed remains 113 at wheelie and 100 without. Would you perchance happen to know how to make this?

I need to know the base speed of the mushroom. It´s only one number, hmm... Neutral

The base speed of the mushroom on 150 cc is 115 km/h; however, the base speed of the mini turbo is only 100 km/h. The mushroom modifier code already exists, as you correctly stated; however, one to alter the miniturbo doesn't exist. For example, using the mushroom modifier code can ensure that when you use a mushroom you move at 140 km/h instead of the base 115 km/h; however, there is no code currently to my knowledge that allows one to drift, and then release the drift button to acquire more than the base 100 km/h from the miniturbo which is charged up after drifting. Initially, this sounds like a one line code to me, considering the fact that the star modifier speed, mega mushroom modifier speed, and mushroom modifier speed codes are all one line codes. I am not sure, however, if knowing the base speed of the mushroom would bring a mini-turbo speed modifier into existence. I could be wrong, but I assumed that one would need to know the base speed for the miniturbo, which is 100km/h perhaps with the value 42C80000. Smile

Yes, I think that the original name is indeed Turbo speed modifier, which works for mushrooms and for turbo pads lying around the track. Thanks for checking up on the mini-turbo aspect.

I see. That is quite strange. I activated the speedometer, and then tested it again. When I drift, the speed is 84 km/h. When I wheelie, the speed is 96km/h at most. When I use a mushroom, the speed is 115 km/h, and when I drift and release the miniturbo, the speedometer says 100 km/h. Perhaps it is not as simple as giving the speed. What I have noticed though, is that the speed mods, such as star, mega, and mushroom, often have the digits "048B4xxx yyyy0000" I know that one mini-turbo code utilizes the value "048B4E20 000xxxxx." All the values which I have listed are ntsc-j. Is this information useful in determining the values for the mini-turbo speed? If not, I unfortunately have no other ideas or observations of use.

I see. It appears as though the mini-turbo speed cannot be modded. It perhaps would have been a good addition to the rest of the speed mods, but I suppose that its inability to be created does indeed explain why nobody else made it long ago.

This may just be one of life's mysteries, but how come occasionally if I change from normal time to 4:59:99 I'm instantly hit with "it has been 30 seconds since..." the leader passed the finish line or whatever. Everyone else keeps racing of course. I guess it usually comes up if I decide to lose in the third lap, but it still doesn't exactly make sense.

Never noticed that... I usually use the always lose timer and infinite laps the whole race.

Yes I think since I'm using your "Total Time Control" it's the same as what you mean by always lose. I've never played with infinite laps... is there no way to toggle it off? I like to do legit races in between. Anyway yeah if the 30 second since problem crops up too early it ironically requires disconnecting and going "next race" and waiting in order not to get disconnected.

In terms of the region free code, assuming that the procedure of creating the deactivator is the same, do we work with the second line of the code, since all the region free codes begin with "F6000001 80008100"?

Edit: Also, which Ram dump is loaded in this case?

You need to know the coding to do it. :S

Search for the line that comes after the F6 one, once it has found it, add the offset from the next line to it (D2XXXXXX), XXXXXX is the offset. Then you should be staring at the deactivator value.

Btw. use the RAM Dump from your region.
