Need help with Pointer in Pointer

I would like to suggest a Sub forum inside the hackers club. A "Ask for Help" section or something similar would be nice. That way I don't clog the hackers club with questions.


So I am trying to find a pointer for an address. I am using three addresses and Dr.Pepper's Pointer search only narrows it down to 147 results . They are all pointer in pointer matches. I don't think trying them 1 by 1 is the best option. What should I do in this case? Give up and try to find another way to do it?

3 addresses? You mean 3 dumps. Yeah, you should use more than 2 if it doesn´t narrow down. Also try to filter the ones with low offsets by putting the offset limit in dr.pepper´s application to 0x2000 or something. There can be multiple working pointer in pointer codes, not just one. You need to figure if the one you chose is fine all the time. It may turn out being messed up. Pointers can be painful because of that. You´re better off with ASM mostly, but it´s harder to good at it...

So how would I set up pointer in pointer using ASM?
