I'd like to ask if someone could port this code of Super Smash Bros. Brawl to PAL for me:

As it is't a 04 code, I don't know what to do about it. I'm just a
beginner.

Anyone wants to proof their porting skills on the code?

Tip:
Think of the F3 as if it was 05 or C3. The second line is just values, no change needed.

The ram dumps are on the forum.

First: Sorry, I forgot that the original hacker must be quoted.


Hmmm... What's the next step? I downloaded the RAM dumps and I found this address in the NTSC dump. In the PAL code database, there isn't a F3 code, so I couldn't compare two codes for the offset.

That´s not how it works, you need to figure the offset by using the 2 dumps and 1 code.

I used to port codes like this all the time, now i haven't seen a ram dump in like 5 months.

Ok... I got your hint wrong.

I tried to make the code out of the line that HxD shows in
front of the addresses but this was false, I guess... I searched for 1B6A08 in both Subspace Space Emissary RSBE/P01 DUMP90 dumps and on the left there was 00D3C3C0 in the NTSC dump and 00D33B40 in the PAL dump. I compared them with the Delta Maker and got an offset of 8880. Then I ported the code to:

F31AE188 FEE42801
7EC3052E 60000000

Unfortunately, this didn't work, so I might need another clue here. Smile

No more hints, I just grew sick and ported the code myself.

Look it up and learn. Your attempt was complete trash, look at the memory at the address you got. It´s different... it´s supposed to be equal when porting since it may not change the code effect. Well...

I better make a good porting tutorial or something, because that´s what I didn´t and which is needed how it seems.

I admit though that this code and some brawl codes in general are tricky to port.
