How To Download YouTube Videos Without Java or Any Software

Go to a YouTube video that you want to download, then in the address bar type in "ss" (without quotations) before "youtube" and then hit enter and it should take you to a website where you can download the video in a few different formats such as .mp4 and .flv and with a few different graphical qualities.

The URL should look like this: http://www.ssyoutube.com/watch?v=u7dwO6KYqzY

I think that this also works for sites like Metacafe, Dailymotion and all of those other video sharing websites.

Go to www.convertfiles.com, then select the file and choose the output format as "Extracted Audio Only MP3".
