Hello, I've had this issue for a long time now. Every time no matter what the game on wii that I'm playing, I always get this the Error

"An error has occurred. Press the Eject Button, remove the Game Disc, and turn off the power to the console. Please read the Wii Operations Manual for further instructions."

This is becoming very annoying because I'll have to reboot my Wii and start everything back up again. Does anyone know how to fix this? Is this an error in software or hardware? Thanks.

Your title, correct me if I'm wrong, is saying that you only get the error when you have the mic plugged in. If so, it is most likely a hardware issue.

The thing is that whenever I have it plugged in, It'll sometimes work and sometimes get the error. But, if it works and I pull the Mic out of the USB Socket, I'll SOMETIMES get the error as well. It's confusing and is really irritating me. Also, the Mic works fine(Besides me not being able to hear others, yet I can speak), it's just that the whenever I plug it in/Take it out more then once, I'll get that error. Thanks for response btw.

It could be the Wii or the plug u have to have in the wii if it doesn't say it when u have it pluged in its the mic.

Still unsure. Idk why it's doing that. Has anyone else had this problem? Also, when it says that error my disc stops spinning if that has to do with anything.

I believe it could be a problem with your disk reader idk. I have had a couple of friends who's wii's stopped working for them after like 2 years (the wii wouldn't read discs anymore). But funny thing, i had my wii for about 6-7 years and it still works perfectly for me.

It turns out ALOT of people are having this issue. I mean, look at all the responses:

http://techforums.nintendo.com/thread/5212

Unfortunately, they don't have the same exact problem as I(We) do. I have the Mic issue. They have a issue when booting up a game. This is so common, yet no one has figured out a way to fix it. Nintendo should know how to fix this, they said "There is NO WAY that a game could corrupt the system, because the Wii is just reading data from the disk and it is not doing anything different than any other game.   Their recommendation was to mail our system in for $85 to get it fixed" This applies with the mic as well. I'm going to get a new mic.

Speaking of Mics, has anyone bought a CoD Black ops Mic and they brake(You can speak into the mic, but you can't hear others out of it) randomly within the next 4 - 6 months? I've had that happen every time with 4 different mics. I never dropped it nor have I Bent the cord around the mic. Apparently, if I hold the Wire a certain way, it'll be fixed and I can hear others. My point is, why is everything braking apart and it's all from china:roll:. Has anyone had there mic brake randomly? Thanks.
