okay, i renamed it and extracted it. i also downloaded JRE. i double click and a window opens with grey blank backround... I am thinking this is an error on my part so i dont think you need to worry but do you have any ideas what else i might need to do??? Thanks bully.

Ive restarted computer and re downloaded program and re extracted it. it opens a window but it is blank and grey... lol

If that happens, you have to resize the window... (Idk why this happens, it´s a glitch or whatever).

Du könntest einen Wrapper benutzen (z.B. Launch4j), die JRE wird aber trotzdem benötigt.
Aber ich verstehe nicht, wieso du das ganze so kompliziert machst. Wieso brauchst du ein Passwort, wieso komprimierst du eine 20kB-Datei und wieso lässt du nicht einfach die Endung so wie sie sein soll?
Vielleicht solltest du auch einen GUI-Builder benutzen, so sieht das noch nicht allzu schön aus Wink.

Habe mich noch nicht mit Wrappern beschäftigt. Ich benutze Passwörter, damit gewisse Spasten nicht die Sachen aus meinem Archiv direkt runterladen, ohne auf diese Seite zu gehen *hust*. Ich kann für eine .jar Datei kein Passwort setzen, also muss ich sie mit WinRAR packen (das funzt nur, wenn ich den Dateityp ändere). Mein jetziger Hoster nimmt außerdem keine .jar, es wird dann immer als Text im Browser dargestellt. GUI Builder, ok habe ich mir auch noch nicht angeschaut xD

Nunja, zumindest funzt alles. Neutral

Hmm naja du könntest mit JPasswordField ein Loginframe machen xD. Aber das wäre dann wohl noch komplizierter.^^
Wenn du Eclipse hast und mal Zeit hast, kannst dir ja mal den WindowBuilder Pro von Google anschauen. Smile

Bully, can you make a scroll feature? i use a netbook/notebook laptop and it cant fit the whole thing unless i plug in my external monitor. Thanks (i got it working now Very Happy)

What? The screen size doesn´t matter, it´s just bigger or smaller, depending on screen. Everything is visible.
