Can´t connect to Black Ops Online through Homebrew Channel?

Im using cheat codes so i have to go through homebrew and gecko to play black ops, but i cant play black ops online it says i need an update so i put yes and it still wont let me play, it just says nintendo wifi connection, please wait and i waited for like 10 minutes. if i go through black ops the normal way, like without going through homebrew, it works, it says black ops online, so please help me guys?

Another tip:
I think that a code not made by me is causing this, because I always try to prevent something like you got ^ to happen.

Codes need auto activators or button activators so that they don´t trigger the updater. Changed memory makes it think that the game hasn´t been updated, because of the codes.
