WiiMC (Wii Media Center) is an open source media player for the Nintendo Wii. The GUI is powered by libwiigui.
This is one of the best apps I have used for the Wii, besides Gecko OS. It has a YouTube video player which is surprisingly 1000x better than the YouTube website in the Internet Channel that Nintendo provides. When I used the YouTube video player that WiiMC offered I was just amazed at how good it really is.
The graphics in the YouTube videos in WiiMC are for some f*cked up reason actually ever so slightly better than the graphics in the videos on the actual YouTube website. I don't know, but I think that's just me.
If I had to rate WiiMC on how much lag it has I'd have to give it a 0.5/10 (almost no lag at all). Now, if I had to rate the Internet Channel on how much lag it has I'd have to give it a 9.1/10 (pathetic).
One of my favourite things about it is that you can watch TV on it. One of everyone's favourite TV shows are on it too... Family Guy! It's also in a live stream that never ends.
Another neat feature that it has is being able to play movies from either an SD card or DVDs.
You can do so much stuff with this app that it isn't even funny.
This is an app that you have to have!
